Durood-e-Ibrahim (Salah Blessings)
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ
اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ
Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammadin wa ‘ala ali Muhammadin, kama sallaita ‘ala Ibrahima wa ‘ala ali Ibrahima, innaka Hamidun Majid.
Allahumma barik ‘ala Muhammadin wa ‘ala ali Muhammadin, kama barakta ‘ala Ibrahima wa ‘ala ali Ibrahima, innaka Hamidun Majid.
Translation: O Allah, send peace and blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent blessings upon Ibrahim and upon the family of Ibrahim. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious. O Allah, send grace upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent grace upon Ibrahim and upon the family of Ibrahim. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious.

Virtues of Reciting Durood Shareef

Reciting Durood Shareef is a powerful worship that brings immense peace and blessings into a Muslim’s life. It is recited during daily prayers (Salah) and at any time during the day.

  • Ten Blessings: Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught that whoever sends one blessing upon him, Allah sends ten blessings upon that person.
  • Forgiveness of Sins: Sending blessings upon the Prophet erases ten small sins and raises a person ten ranks in status.
  • Acceptance of Prayers: Making Dua after reciting Durood Shareef increases the chances of prayers being accepted by Allah.
